17th WAVE Conference in The Netherlands

Published: Aug 12 2015

The 17th WAVE Conference will take place on the 2nd of November 2015 in The Hague, The Netherlands - just one day before the start of the Third World Conference of Women’s Shelters.

Unlike in previous years, the WAVE conference 2015 will be held for one day only and will be a conference exclusively for WAVE members and associated partners with the goal of strengthening the WAVE network.

The overall topic is reflected in the (working) title of the conference: “Women’s Collective Power to Stop Violence - Conference to strengthen the WAVE network”.

The programme of this one day conference is currently in preparation and is most likely to include panels and interactive discussions, (parallel) working groups/workshops to strengthen the WAVE network and will include the WAVE General Assembly.

As the 2015 WAVE Conference is a Network Conference, it is open only for WAVE members. All WAVE members, including the WAVE CoCo delegates, have already been invited by formal letter and are again strongly encouraged to register for the WAVE Conference, as well as for the Third World Conference of Women’s Shelters, taking place from 3rd- 6th November 2015.

Please note that separate registrations are needed for both conferences. WAVE members are kindly asked to register for the WAVE Conference on the WAVE website: http://www.wave-network.org/content/calling-all-wave-members

Updated information on the WAVE Conference, especially on the agenda, will be posted as soon as it becomes available.
